The course is intended for students who have little or no knowledge in Icelandic.

The coursebook Íslenska fyrir alla 1 can be downloaded from this site: https://tungumalatorg.is/ifa/bok-1/. The book contains several exercises and is accompanied by an audiobook which students are encouraged to make use of, in order to listen to spoken Icelandic.

Students hand in 8 assignments and do the interactive exercises to assist them to learn. Students can attend one lesson per week on TEAMS where they can interact with the teacher and with each other.

Course objectives: At the end of the course students should be able to communicate and talk about various general matters and understand a vocabulary relating to daily activities.
